⚠ DELETE THIS BOX BEFORE PUBLISHING — reviewer instructions

Drafted automatically from the Communications Request Form, row 77 (FAC / 7th Tradition town hall workgroup, Odene T., submitted 9/17/2026, due 10/22/2026), using the attached slide deck “Making ¢ents of spiritual matters”, which the requester says is unfinished. Post 1 of 2: the announcement. A reminder post was also drafted. Calendar: the town hall will be added to the CMA Service Site calendar after the request row is marked Complete, once a date and time are confirmed. Out of scope here: the Report and CMA Service (cmaservice.org) channels. Information still needed:

  1. Event date Answered 10/18/2026: Thursday, October 22, 2026, 7:00 pm MST (Arizona), Zoom link added. Still needed: end time, and whether registration is required.
  2. Start and end time, with time zones (the slides mention a “toonie”, so include Canadian members’ time zones if they are invited).
  3. How to join: the Zoom link or registration link, and whether registration is required. Is it online only?
  4. Who is presenting or hosting (service positions only), and the contact email to list publicly.
  5. Will it be recorded, and will the slides be shared afterward? Anonymity guidance (camera off, first names only)?
  6. Accessibility: captions, ASL or Spanish interpretation?
  7. Reminder: the requested reminder date (October 10) has passed. When should the reminder post go out (e.g. one week and one day before)?
  8. The final slide deck: the attached version is unfinished. Should it be linked or attached in the post once it’s final?

About the town hall

The purpose of this town hall is to provide a clear picture of how our 7th Tradition contributions are used once they have left the local area and moved down the triangle to General Services. We will also provide guidance on some best practices for those being of service to their fellowship as a Group Treasurer.

What we’ll cover

  • Where 7th Tradition contributions go after they leave the group, District and Area
  • Best practices for Group Treasurers: treasurer reports, keeping a prudent reserve, and transparency and accountability
  • Suggested guidelines for sharing a group’s surplus with its District, Area and General Services
  • Where money meets spirituality: self-support as dignity, and unity, trust and mutual care
  • Questions and answers

All members of CMA are welcome, especially group treasurers and anyone interested in service.
